Hello Families at Friendship,
I am Katrina Kozisek the new DCE Intern. I will be planning most of the Family events this upcoming year, and I am looking forward to getting to know you all. I am going to try something new and that is assigning the third Sunday (or Saturday depending on what is happening) of the month to be the “Family Ministry Event” day. This way, families can plan on something going on the third weekend of every month. This way, there is no guessing as to what is going on and when. I would love to hear all of your thoughts and hear idea’s for what we could do this year.
Families are so important, especially in today’s society. The very definition of family is different now than what it used to be. No matter what your family system looks like, we want you to be a part of the family at Friendship. You are important to us, and most importantly, to God. He loves you and your family so incredibly much. If any of you are ever struggling and need some prayer or just want to talk, please let me and pastor know! We are here for you and want to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the best way possible. I so look forward to getting to know all of you this year. It is going to be awesome seeing what God is going to do with this church.
In the month of August, we are going to have a Yard Games day at the church! So bring your favorite yard games (croquette, corn-hole, hillbilly golf, baseball, kickball, etc). We will also have tables set up if anyone wants to play Bored and/or Card games. This will take place on Sunday August 16 from 2pm-5pm. I encourage everyone to bring a little snack to share with all families. This will be a great opportunity to be in fellowship with one another while having fun, spending time with your family, and spending time with other families. The body of Christ is here to help one another. I am looking forward to having a fun game day with all of you!!
Feel free to grab lunch locally, or bring a picnic lunch to enjoy with your family before the games start around 2pm.
Any questions, feel free to email me email@example.com.
I am so excited for this year!!
